Patient Portal Modernisation
Re-platforming a clinician-facing portal used by 1,400 staff, without a single day of downtime.
The existing portal was fragile, expensive to change and structurally incapable of meeting new accessibility requirements. A big-bang rewrite was ruled out on day one.
The approach
We strangler-figged the system: a new API layer in front of the legacy database, feature by feature migration, and a shadow-run period where both systems were compared before traffic moved.
